Willow feels she has lost everything. She use to belong to Jimmy and Roberta Chance. She used to belong in her home on Citrus Road. She used to belong in her garden, her sanctuary. But not anymore. On page 111, Willow states, "But the house is dark and no one is there. It is a house now of only ghosts. It is only a museum of the past. We are done."
On page 15 Willow says, “To know me is to know my garden. It is my sanctuary.” What is your sanctuary? Sanctuary means a place of refuge or safety. What should people know in order to know you?
